The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support place created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit status sassa the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
